Abstract in brief

  • This pilot study explored the safety and potential effectiveness of psilocybin in reducing anxiety and improving mood in patients with advanced-stage cancer, using a double-blind placebo-controlled design with 12 participants.
  • The study found that psilocybin was safe, with no serious adverse effects, and showed promising results such as decreased anxiety and mood improvement up to six months after treatment.
  • These findings suggest that further research is needed to fully understand psilocybin's therapeutic potential for cancer-related anxiety and mood issues.]

@azfamily It works better than the poison given out by the pharma companies, now there will be more choices that are natural unless people decide to go to pharma for it. For MDD: https://t.co/nc6UwS1fWq https://t.co/TWPolSR1w8 For Anxiety: https://t.co/O7JmX5gFUP https://t.co/TWPolSR1w8

@drpeterlange @michaelpollan @breath_Guy No it's not a good placebo as it has very different effects. They didn't assess blinding. The one study I found that did said "the drug order was almost al- ways apparent to subjects and investigators whether the treatment was psilocybin or placebo". https://t.co/dNSUC5iRdQ
