Abstract Synopsis
- The RECOVER project conducted a systematic review and consensus process to develop evidence-based clinical guidelines for veterinary CPR in dogs and cats, covering five key areas: preparedness, basic life support, advanced life support, monitoring, and post-cardiac arrest care.
- A total of 74 worksheets and 101 clinical guidelines were created through expert evaluation, including algorithms and drug-dosing schemes, to help veterinary professionals improve CPR practices.
- While many knowledge gaps remain, the guidelines provide a structured, science-based approach to veterinary CPR, with future research needed to assess their impact and further refine these recommendations.]
