Abstract in brief

  • The study found that men who started testosterone therapy (TT) had a significantly higher risk of nonfatal myocardial infarction (heart attack) within 90 days after prescription, especially in men aged 65 and older, with risk increasing with age.
  • The increased risk was more pronounced in older men, with a rate ratio of 2.19, and in men under 65 with a prior heart disease history, indicating that those with existing heart issues are at higher risk after starting TT.
  • When compared to men using PDE5 inhibitors (like sildenafil or tadalafil), testosterone therapy was associated with a higher relative increase in MI risk, especially among older men and younger men with heart disease, highlighting the need for caution when prescribing TT.]

@baileyozi Gosh what a combo AZ's, Testosterone, BP Med, Statins. I'm thinking the VAX/TRT may be the culprits, did the Statins lower testosterone ? What food are you eating ?. I think diets such as LCHF, or Keto would raise your HDL and help lower insulin. https://t.co/EP5cuqbm04
