Abstract in brief
The study was a randomized controlled trial involving 96 office workers with moderate to severe neck pain, testing the effectiveness of neck and shoulder stretching exercises over four weeks.
Both the exercise group and control group received ergonomic education, but only the exercise group performed stretching exercises twice daily; results showed significant improvements in pain, neck function, and quality of life for the exercise group.
The findings suggest that regular stretching exercises, especially when performed more frequently (three times a week), can effectively reduce neck pain and enhance overall neck function and quality of life for office workers with chronic neck and shoulder pain.
