Abstract in brief

Women with self-reported ADHD in a Canadian study face significantly higher risks of insomnia, chronic pain, suicidal thoughts, childhood sexual abuse, and generalized anxiety disorder compared to women without ADHD.
The study found that women with ADHD are also more likely to experience substance abuse, smoking, depression, severe poverty, and childhood physical abuse, with these differences remaining significant even after adjusting for demographic factors.
