Abstract in brief
Low-dose naltrexone is used offlabel to treat chronic pain and inflammation in diseases like multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, and fibromyalgia, potentially offering pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting certain immune cells.
Current evidence suggests that low-dose naltrexone is safe and well-tolerated, but most studies are based on subjective reports such as improved quality of life or reduced pain, with limited objective data.
More rigorous controlled trials are needed to confirm its effectiveness, as the existing research is inconclusive, and healthcare providers should be aware of its limited proven benefits when considering it for treatment.]
@Blitz_y Safer thing to try is low dose naltrexone. I believe that a lot of ‘chronic Lyme’ people are fibromyalgia-like, who knows what inciting etiology was. Could be Lyme, It definitely gives autoimmune arthritis in predisposed.

@Nick_Wellings @Naomi_D_Harvey I doubt you can make LDN at home. I do not take it... But I think this dr from Israel explains it very well.
Similar to Nicotine... You may feel worse first

@Gormogons @phaupert14850 If only you knew some doctors or medical personnel;)
Assuming you have already gone low carb, low purine, have you considered starting at 1.5 mg of Naltrexone and titrating up to probably 4.5? Really cuts out the inflammation.

Many people with MS find low doses of naltrexone helpful for symptoms. This video explains how LDN works, reviews research, and discusses its safety and efficacy based on current scientific studies.
About low dose naltrexone (LDN) which is off patent (therefore cheap).
It is extraordinarily safe as the main side effect is vivid dreams that usually resolves quickly.
LDN can't be used if someone is taking opiates for pain relief.
