Abstract Synopsis
- The study aims to systematically review and quantitatively analyze the relationship between plant-based dietary patterns and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, drawing on various observational studies.
- A total of 9 studies involving over 300,000 participants were analyzed, revealing that higher adherence to plant-based diets significantly reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes (relative risk of 0.77).
- Results showed consistent findings across different study formats, suggesting that following a plant-based diet may be a beneficial strategy for diabetes prevention.
