Abstract in brief

  • The study explores how different foot structures, particularly fat pads, help mammals like camelids (camels and alpacas) manage pressure during movement.
  • Camels have larger foot contact areas that grow with speed, which helps lower the pressure on their feet, while alpacas have less variation and smaller pads.
  • The findings suggest fat pads are important for reducing foot pressure during movement, but their exact role in habitat adaptation is still not fully clear.]

See Chantal....this is how you make content. A short, very educational video on camels. Combine this with going to see the camels and you'd get a ton of views. I love Ze Frank's videos, but she's too lazy to put in the work. https://t.co/LCnDWCDmFr
