  • The study investigated whether polysaccharide hemostatic powder (PHP), which is easy to apply, can help reduce bleeding after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), especially in high-risk patients, but found no significant overall benefit.
  • Patients at high risk, including those taking antithrombotic agents, showed a higher tendency for bleeding, and continuing antithrombotic use was identified as an independent risk factor for post-ESD bleeding.
  • Although a tendency for lower bleeding rates was observed in some groups, the results indicate that PHP may not effectively prevent post-ESD bleeding, and larger studies are needed for conclusive evidence.
