Abstract in brief

  • MyoInositol is a key molecule in thyroid function, involved in hormone synthesis and signaling pathways that affect thyroid health, especially through its role as a precursor in the phosphatidylinositol pathway.
  • Clinical studies indicate that supplementing with MyoInositol and Selenium can lower TSH levels and decrease autoantibody levels in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism, suggesting a potential treatment option.
  • MyoInositol may also help manage benign thyroid nodules and could improve thyroid health by supporting proper hormone signaling and reducing inflammation or autoimmunity.

The TSH reduction was accompanied by a decline of antithyroid autoantibodies. Moreover, Myo-Inositol supplementation seemed to be involved also in the management of thyroidal benign nodules, with a possible effect in the size reduction. https://t.co/YNkxHDcX6Z

@expartymember @StokeyBones I had my TSH and T4 tested in July due to hair loss. MY TSH was 6.29 with normal T4. My doctor did no other testing. I found this study and decided to try selenium/myo-inositol. https://t.co/kFVeK5lQaR
