Abstract Synopsis
- This study investigates how menthol inhalation affects cognitive function and immune response in both healthy and Alzheimer’s disease mouse models.
- Repeated exposure to menthol enhanced the immune response and improved cognitive abilities in mice with healthy immune systems, but not in those with compromised immunity.
- Significant improvements in cognitive capacity were linked to reduced levels of inflammatory markers in the brain, suggesting that odor-based therapies could be beneficial for central nervous system disorders.
