Abstract in brief
This study reviewed and analyzed data from 139 cohort studies to examine how different levels of alcohol consumption influence the risk of various types of cancer.
The analysis found no significant link between light drinking and overall cancer risk, but did identify that even light alcohol intake increases risks for esophageal, colorectal, and breast cancers; heavier drinking further raises the risk for many cancers like stomach, liver, and prostate.
Overall, the research suggests that there is no completely safe level of alcohol consumption regarding cancer risk, emphasizing the need for public health efforts to reduce alcohol intake to lower cancer incidence.]

@syazanisatri "this study failed to take into consideration the differences between case-control and cohort study design"...and this led to the wrong conclusion.

Reinforces for me that if something doesn't occur in a practical edible form in nature, we shouldn't be ingesting it https://t.co/3q7oOFmfw6

In another study, RR 1.02 for light drinkers (1 glass per day). It means your probability of having cancer of any type is increased by 2%. CI is 0.99-1.04, so let's say that, light alcohol use might have actually saved some people from cancer :)
