Abstract in brief

  • Phytoestrogens are plant compounds commonly found in foods like soy that have been linked to potential health benefits such as reducing risks of osteoporosis, heart disease, breast cancer, and menopausal symptoms, but they may also act as endocrine disruptors causing possible adverse effects.
  • The overall impact of phytoestrogens on human health is complicated and may vary depending on factors like age, health status, and individual gut bacteria, making it difficult to determine if they are primarily beneficial or harmful.
  • As the consumption of phytoestrogens increases globally, especially through dietary supplements, infant formulas, and processed foods, understanding their effects is crucial; they serve as models to study endocrine disruptors like BPA, highlighting the need for more comprehensive research.]

https://t.co/R1lFPEsDP1 I am convinced soy is an endocrine disruptor and if you are having problems digesting real milk the last think you should do is drink soy. Fix your microbiome. I sourced bovine colostrum, too late @lowcarbGP @BiggestComeback @FructoseNo https://t.co/2BIb6eqn6I

@ReganCoda @Mangan150 You're WRONG! Soy is even MORE estrogenic than BPA, according to a review of research on the pros and cons of phytoestrogens by Heather Patisaul, a developmental biologist at North Carolina State University who has studied the effects of eating soy.

@PRAEST The pros and cons of phytoestrogens Heather B. Patisaul and Wendy Feel free to read it in it's entirety. You don't have children so it may not be a top priority to you what goes in their bodies. All I'm saying is it's your choice to be vegan and I'm not asking you to change.

@SteveTiger999 @vegannutrition1 That’s why people don’t like vegans. Some think they have the ultimate true. That article is inviting to further study the pros and cons of phytoestrogens since soy it’s so popular nowadays. Not only for vegans, it applies to the population in general.
