• While individually AR and RR did not promote wound healing at certain doses, their combination in NF3 demonstrated a notable reduction in wound size, indicating a synergistic interaction that enhances healing processes.
• Mechanistic tests revealed that AR was more effective in reducing inflammation and promoting fibroblast growth, whereas NF3 uniquely supported angiogenesis, with overall findings suggesting that the herbal interactions amplify each other's therapeutic effects in diabetic wound repair.
