Abstract in brief
The study evaluated the effectiveness of finasteride and dutasteride over three years in women with androgenetic alopecia, showing significant increases in hair thickness in both age groups and medications.
Both drugs led to improvements in hair density, with dutasteride performing slightly better than finasteride, especially in women under 50 years old.
Overall, daily use of these medications for three years was effective in increasing hair thickness and preventing further hair loss in women with androgenetic alopecia.]
@newyearforme315 Have you looked into finasteride (Propecia) or dutasteride (Avodart)? I've had good results with Avodart. It blocks the form of testosterone which causes hair loss. (Can't take it if getting pregnant is a possibility.)
