Abstract Synopsis

  • Logistic regression is a statistical method used for predicting the probability of a binary outcome, such as yes/no or true/false, based on one or more predictor variables.
  • It works by modeling the relationship between the dependent variable and independent variables using a logistic function, which outputs values between 0 and 1, representing the probability of the event occurring.
  • Logistic regression is widely used in various fields like medicine, finance, and social sciences for tasks like disease diagnosis, credit scoring, and risk assessment.
