ImpactModerate impact

While there is recognition of its importance, the overall effect on actual change is moderate, with some posts emphasizing future potential rather than immediate breakthroughs.

Abstract in brief

  • The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a specialized feature of blood vessels in the central nervous system (CNS) that tightly controls the movement of ions, molecules, and cells between the blood and the brain, ensuring proper brain function and protection from toxins and pathogens.
  • The BBB's functions depend on physical, transport, and metabolic properties of endothelial cells lining the blood vessels, which are influenced by interactions with immune and neural cells, coordinating how the barrier operates.
  • Changes or disruptions in the BBB are linked to the development and progression of various neurological diseases, highlighting the importance of understanding how these cell interactions maintain or impair barrier integrity.

Scientists don't yet know if the extracellular vesicles cross the blood brain barrier directly and produce neurogenesis, or work on other organs, which then, in turn, produce neurogenesis. This is a mouse model, but it's really exciting! They had 50% more cell growth, and of that, 89% were neurons.

Let’s quash this on - statins generally work on LDL. It’s bad for the entire body. Cholesterol is a macromolecule; simple put, it can’t pass the blood brain barrier - the brain creates its own cholesterol. Lastly, this doctor doesn’t know basic physiology, biochemistry, or medications. Don’t listen.

So there are no autistic females? I've heard of the blood-brain barrier, but the penis-brain barrier? The vagina-brain barrier? Seriously, RFKjr is the biggest threat to the health of Americans since cigarettes, alcohol, IV drug use, obesity, and the rise of drug-resistant antibiotics combined.

Glucose also passes the blood brain barrier. I suggest to stop eating all products with glucose and all food that can be converted to glucose.
