Same here. I got a bit sidetracked when I started reading The Wheel of Time book series. It is addictive. I'm close to finishing book 6 of 14. There is 1 prequel novel, too. So much to read, so little time...
Alas, I wish I could do this topic more justice, but it's regrettably a topic I have not studied in detail (so much to read, so little time to do it!). Here's a few snapshots from Cardoso's memoir and a journal article that I have in my bookshelf.

@aronaya @blackgirlinmain Speed reading (like being taught to "speed read" in a course) is a bit of a "myth". You can't speed up too much without losing comprehension. And if you aren't reading to understand what you read, what are you reading for? https://t.co/rDPmg4U6wX

@Leo_the_rat @evildarkempath there's some fascinating literature on the tradeoff between measures of reading rate and accuracy/comprehension; multiplying the two gives a measure of someone's Reading Efficiency (RE) index — that's why "read" has different interpretations https://t.co/0dEsuzCYeC https://t.co/TEsjM70g6Q

Sorry, but nothing in that tweet makes me want to read the blog. It's so vague. Of course it might not be for me anyway, but what's it about? Why might we want to spend our limited time reading it? (So much to read, so little time) What kind of readers are you trying to connect with?

I’ve so many gaps myself, there’s so much to read, so little time. Yes, absolutely, very time consuming, also the idea of accelerating up to the mid point of a journey, then turning the ship and decelerating the second half just to try speeding things up. Mostly using some type of nuclear drive.
