Abstract Synopsis
- The study investigated how equivalence-based instruction (EBI) can help college students learn basic music reading and piano skills by teaching them to identify chord notations, play chords on the piano, and perform songs.
- Results showed that after training, the students could easily substitute between different musical stimuli (such as notation and playing), indicating that they understood the relationships between the concepts.
- The findings suggest that EBI is an effective and efficient way to teach adult learners essential musical skills, like reading notation and performing on a piano.]
