@MichaelBraccio (Twitter)And this makes some sense when looking at the LEAP trial with @Bill_Vicenzino. Strength didn’t change at 8 weeks but there were improvements in pain/function. So strength might not be the mediator of improvement in these individuals. https://t.co/ISoU7672bB

@MattPhysio123 (Twitter)For gluteal tendinopathy, at 8 weeks and 52 weeks, supervised exercise plus education was superior to a single corticosteroid injection and the wait and see approach. Though how applicable is 14 supervised sessions over 8 weeks to practice? https://t.co/2XwrmJ6dhW

Abstract Synopsis
- The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of load management education plus exercise, corticosteroid injections, and no treatment on pain and improvement in individuals with gluteal tendinopathy.
- Participants included individuals aged 35-70 with chronic lateral hip pain and diagnosed gluteal tendinopathy, with treatments assigned to 204 randomized participants.
- Results showed that those receiving education and exercise (EDX) and corticosteroid injections (CSI) reported significantly better global improvement and lower pain levels compared to the waiting group (WS), with EDX proving more effective than CSI regarding overall improvement.
