Abstract Synopsis

  • The Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire (CATQ) was developed to measure social camouflaging behaviors used by autistic adults, filling a gap as there were no existing self-report tools for this purpose.
  • The questionnaire, consisting of 25 items across three factors, was tested on over 800 adults (both autistic and non-autistic), showing good model fit, consistent factor structures, and reliable results over time.
