Abstract in brief
This review discusses how aerobic exercise might be a helpful treatment for PTSD, especially since existing research shows promising results for reducing symptoms either alone or alongside traditional therapies.
The review identified 19 studies up to October 2018 that explore the link between aerobic exercise and PTSD, highlighting potential ways exercise could improve symptoms, such as reducing internal arousal, improving brain function, balancing stress hormones, and lowering inflammation.
To better understand how exercise helps with PTSD, more rigorous studies like randomized clinical trials are needed to confirm these benefits and clarify the underlying biological mechanisms.

@JasonM81_ Hi Jason,
PTSD is not my area, unfortunately. Aerobic exercise seems to be helpful for managing symptoms. I would hypothesize that it would also help improve HRV. https://t.co/sokUo2RmXs
HRV biofeedback may also be helpful for symptoms and improving HRV.
