Abstract in brief
The text discusses ongoing research on ADHD, emphasizing that sensory overresponsivity (reacting strongly to sensory stimuli) is an important factor to consider in understanding and diagnosing the condition.
The authors studied how children with ADHD respond physiologically to sensory stressors, measuring factors like HPA activity and electrodermal response, and found that sensory responses can distinguish different profiles within ADHD.
They propose incorporating sensory overresponsivity as a dimension in diagnosing ADHD, aligning with recent shifts toward more nuanced, dimensional approaches rather than strict categories in mental health diagnosis.]

This recent study is preaching otherwise on ppl w/ ADHD having sensory issues. It isn't much, but given the personal testimonies of a bunch of people online and in the comments alongside studies like this popping up, this isn't a black and white thing.
