Abstract Synopsis

  • The study evaluated a modified ketogenic diet's effects on cognition and daily functioning in Alzheimer's disease patients over 12 weeks.
  • Patients on the ketogenic diet showed significant improvements in daily living activities and quality of life compared to those following a usual diet.
  • The trial indicated that the ketogenic diet was generally safe with mild adverse effects and achieved sustained physiological ketosis among participants.
