Abstract Synopsis
- The study is a systematic review and meta-analysis that examined the effectiveness of neurofeedback (NFB) in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), focusing on 1211 patients from controlled trials.
- Results indicated that neurofeedback shows a significant benefit over other treatments in reducing OCD symptoms, with a mean difference of 6.815 on the YBOCS scale, and the findings were statistically significant (p = 0.0001).
- The authors suggest that neurofeedback appears to be a promising treatment for OCD but emphasize the need for more clinical trials to compare it directly with established treatments like medication, neurological, and behavioral therapies.]
