Abstract Synopsis
- The study explores the link between plant-based diets and colorectal cancer (CRC) risk, focusing on sex, race, and ethnicity.
- During a mean follow-up of nearly two years, a total of 4,976 cases of CRC were identified among participants.
- Findings indicate that men who followed a healthful plant-based diet (hPDI) had a significantly lower risk of CRC, with variations across different racial and ethnic groups, while no significant links were found for women.
