Abstract in brief
This study analyzed various biomarkers such as PDL1, TMB, Tcell GEP, and HPV status to predict how patients with recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) respond to pembrolizumab treatment, showing that higher levels of these biomarkers are associated with better response rates.
The research found that PDL1 and Tcell GEP are independently predictive of better outcomes, with higher biomarker levels leading to increased objective response rates (ORR), and these biomarkers generally correlated well regardless of HPV status.
Overall, TMB, PDL1, and Tcell GEP, whether assessed alone or together, could be useful tools for identifying patients more likely to benefit from pembrolizumab therapy in recurrent/metastatic HNSCC.]
