Abstract Synopsis

  • The ACTIVEAF trial explored the impact of a 6-month exercise program on atrial fibrillation (AF) patients, comparing it to usual care.
  • Results showed that 40% of patients in the exercise group achieved freedom from AF, compared to 20% in the control group after 12 months.
  • Additionally, the exercise group reported significantly lower symptom severity at both 6 and 12 months, indicating that physical activity can benefit AF management.
