Abstract Synopsis
- The study compared the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) on elderly women, measuring health outcomes like body composition, blood markers, fitness, and quality of life over 16 weeks.
- Both groups showed improvements in body fat, abdominal measurements, and overall fitness, but HIIT led to greater enhancements in blood sugar levels, lipid profiles, and functional capacity.
- The results suggest that HIIT is especially effective for improving various aspects of physical health in elderly women, more so than MICT.]
